Cores

Cores are intermediate crafting components used to craft Valves. Each valve type requires its matching core. Cores are made at the crafting table from the corresponding material and Redstone (or other binders).

Quartz Crystal is the other key ingredient in valve crafting and is covered below.

Core Recipes

All cores yield 4× per craft.

Wooden Core

Bronze Core

Gold Ingot (top & bottom) + Redstone (center) → 4× Gold Core. Used for: Gold Valve

Lapis Core

Lapis Lazuli (top & bottom) + Redstone (center) → 4× Lapis Core. Used for: Lapis Valve

Emerald Core

Apatite Core

Apatite (top & bottom) + Redstone (center) → 4× Apatite Core. Used for: Apatite Valve

Obsidian Core

Obsidian Dust (top & bottom) + Redstone (center) → 4× Obsidian Core. Used for: Obsidian Valve

Netherite Core

Netherite Ingot (top & bottom) + Redstone (center) → 4× Netherite Core. Used for: Netherite Valve

Blazing Core

Blaze Powder

Ender Core

Ender Dust (top & bottom) + Eye of Ender (center) → 4× Ender Core. Used for: Ender Valve

Quartz Crystal

Quartz Crystal is not a "core" but is the other required ingredient in all valve recipes.

Recipe: Smelt Quartz Dust in a Kiln or furnace → 1× Quartz Crystal

Quartz Dust is obtained by grinding Nether Quartz or Quartz Ore in the Macerator.

Progression note: Quartz Crystal is gated behind the Macerator, so valve crafting requires a Macerator to be operational first.
